Full eyebrows are a sign of youth and vitality. But, nothing makes a face look polished more than a set of perfectly groomed brows.

Always tweeze and or use a razor with caution, over plucking is brow mistake. It can make your eyebrows look scary and harsh.

A warm shower allows the hairs on your brows become loose. When you use lukewarm water for bathing, the steam from the shower gently opens up the hair follicles as well as the pores present around them. As a result, it becomes easier to trim the strands and shape up the brows correctly.

Decide on a brow shape

Picture your brow shape before you start. You don’t write a paper without an idea in your mind, why do so with your brows.  Your brows should begin directly above your tear duct, peak in line with the outer side of your iris, and end at a point that falls 45 degrees from the outer corner of your eye.

Remember to follow your natural eyebrow shape

Apply a moisturizer over the creases of your eyes and the upper part of your brows. The skin between the brows should also be covered by it. It will provide protection to your skin during the shaving.

Use a jumbo pencil

Once you’ve determined how your brows shape, outline your arch using a soft, creamy brow pencil. A white jumbo pencil can be as a guide while shaping your brows. It also ensures you don’t over pluck.

Brush Upward

Use a spoolie brush to coax hairs up for lift and volume. With grooming scissors, snip strands of hair longer than your natural browline. Brush hairs back to their natural position. Also, shave underneath your brows. You have to start from the highest points or the ‘arches’ and cut off all the stray hair strands present below them carefully.

Pluck one row of hair on the bottom of brows, going from nose to arch to temple. Always pluck in the direction of hair growth to prevent ingrown hairs.

To tweeze, hold skin taut by gently holding skin firm with your free hand while tweezing, means less tugging and pain on the skin.

If you are using a razor to groom your brows, First, remove the fine hair strands growing out between your brows (right over your nose). For this, you have to grip the razor straight up and use the broad ‘vertical comb attachment’. Make sure that you apply small strokes by moving it only from one side to another (horizontal sweep) in the direction opposite to the growth of the hair.

It is advised that you apply little pressure while dragging the razor against your skin.

Put some distance between you and the mirror. This ensures that you will be able to see where your brows need balancing. You also have less chance of making them uneven. After you have your shape in, you can then get close-up to better reach the finer, lighter hairs.

Wipe off the areas surrounding both of your eyebrows with a warm washcloth. I also use spirit to clean my brow after grooming, to kill off germs. And, it also helps heal razor cuts.
